We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of longtime Futures in Education Board of Trustee and dedicated supporter of Catholic education, Brendan J. Dugan, on Sunday, December 18, 2016.
Brendan is survived by his wife Barbara, his sons Joseph (Stephanie), Michael and Patrick (Christina), and his six grandchildren Brendan, Ryan, William, Helena, Colin and Mary. He is also survived by his sister Patricia Curtin and brother Brian.
As President of St. Francis College, Brendan held deep regard for the Franciscan tradition and roots of the College. Brendan was proud to continue the tradition of instilling the Catholic values of faith, hope, humility, love, caring, hospitality, peace and most importantly, service, in his students.
Brendan took great pride in his Brooklyn-born roots. As a pillar of the Catholic community, he dedicated himself to ensuring the availability of Catholic education to under-served students in Brooklyn and Queens through his personal work with the Diocese of Brooklyn and Futures in Education.
