Mr. McQuade began his securities industry career at the American Stock Exchange in 1966. He joined SIAC at its founding in 1972 with responsibility for clearance and settlement operations for the New York and American Stock Exchanges. In April 1980, he was elected president of SIAC, and in September of the following year was appointed chief executive officer.
As SIAC’s Chairman and CEO, Mr. McQuade has had a major impact on orientation of the corporation, focusing from the outset on human resources issues and ways to improve the “people” side of SIAC’s daily operations. Mr. McQuade is a Director of Green Point Financial and is affiliated with numerous industry and educational advisory boards.
He was Chairman of the Futures in Education Foundation, which raises money to fund scholarships to the parochial schools in Brooklyn and Queens.
Mr. McQuade received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Fordham University and his MBA from Bernard M. Baruch College, City of New York. He lives with his wife Mary and their five children in Irvington, NY.
