Julie Mattone Bello is one of seven children born to Irene and Joseph Mattone Sr. She grew up in Douglaston, Queens and attended St John’s University, and majored in finance.
During college, she worked at Greenpoint Savings Bank, and subsequently brought her training over to her father’s law firm and together they began a loan closing department that continued for over 50 years.
She was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society for many years, and was a Futures In Education “Angel Supporter”. She loved the Citifield meet-and-greets where she finally got to meet her “Angels” in person and to see their achievemnets and she hopes to once again participate in that fulfilling event. Julie was a parent-advocate for Special Needs children which involved helping the parents navigate the resources that could be available for their children.
She currently manages her husband’s very busy medical practice in NYC.
She married Dr. Gaetano Bello in 1981 and has 4 children, 3 of whom are married. She enjoys playing tennis and being a “Nana” to her 5 grandchildren – 3 girls and 2 boys. She resides in Upper Brookville.
