New Developments: Time for Dinner!

By Nick Vendikos,

Director of Development

When we were younger, how familiar was it for your mom to yell, “Dinner Time” while you were outside with your friends?”

We dropped whatever we were doing, stopped playing and headed home for dinner. It was family time.

Now as summer turns to fall, I am sticking my head out of the cyberspace office window screaming, “Dinner Time!”

But this “Dinner Time” has greater repercussions than any we shared with our biological family.

This Dinner is about our Futures in Education family and is slated for Thursday, October 15, at the world-renown Waldorf Astoria, New York.

As Futures celebrates its silver anniversary, we are recognizing all previous honorees over the past 25 years, plus two special gentlemen:

Lou Grassi, CPA, CFE; President & CEO, Grassi and Co.

Lou Milo; President, Milrose Consultants

Last year, we raised a record $2.2 million to provide scholarships for youngsters to attend Catholic schools and academies in Brooklyn and Queens.

But there is more work to do and more families who need us to answer the “Dinner Time” call. Give the students entrusted to our care the same academic opportunities we received.

“Dinner Time” is our rallying cry. It means we need you to consider attending this special event by taking tables, tickets, sponsorships and by telling your friends, colleagues and contacts it is “Dinner Time” for Futures.

On the count of three, let’s send this invitation via a personal email or even call your connections and tell them it is “Dinner Time!”

One … Two … Three!
