Robert F. Gartland is Chairman of the Gartland and Mellina Group, a Professional Consulting Firm focused on Financial Services Operations and Technology solutions. He is also an Independent Trustee for the Fidelity Fixed Income and Asset Allocation Mutual funds.
Mr. Gartland retired from Morgan Stanley in 2007 where he worked for 28 years in both New York and London. He began his career with the Chase Manhattan Bank in New York in 1975. He has served on numerous Industry Boards including TradeWeb, the National Securities Clearing Corporation, Comprehensive Software Systems and Southwest Securities.
In the non-profit sector, Mr. Gartland has served on the Board of Directors of the League Treatment Center, the Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service and the Advisory Board of the Financial Engineering Program at Columbia University. He is a member of the Finance Board and a Trustee of St. Dominic Church in Oyster Bay, New York.
Mr. Gartland has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Hofstra University and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University.
